How to Get the Shuriken in COD MW2 and Warzone 2

Double the lethals!

On top of all the new weapons we’ve already seen in Season 2 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, we now have a fresh piece of lethal equipment to utilize. Shurikens have made their way into the game, and they fit perfectly with the Japanese theme, or the upcoming Shredder crossover.

Though there is a new piece of lethal equipment, you may have trouble finding the razor-sharp stars. Weapons like the Tempus Torrent can be seen when scrolling through the weapons tab in loadouts, but the Shurikens are missing. We’ll cover how you can get your hands on these in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

COD MW2 and Warzone 2 – How to Get the Shuriken Lethal

The new version of the throwing knife can only be found in one game mode for the time being. Shurikens can only be found as loot in Resurgence modes as part of the Ashika Island playlists. You’ll likely see plenty of players using these to eliminate downed players over the usual throwing knives for the time being.

Beyond Resurgence, there is no way to equip the Shuriken in a loadout for COD Season 2 Reloaded of MW2 or Warzone 2. Until Season 3 goes live at some point in April, you won’t be able to find these lethals in any class options. This was likely done to promote the Resurgence mode and Ashika Island itself.

Once Season 3 goes live, we still don’t know whether the Shurikens will automatically be available for use or require challenges to be completed. In past games, lethals with special effects have also been added to store bundles, so that’s an option as well. We’ll just have to wait and see.
