How to Get the Red9 Handgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake
In the original Resident Evil 4, the Red9 was a gun you could purchase from the merchant, but things are slightly different in the remake.
To obtain the Red9 handgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake, players will need to defeat the fish monster at the lake in chapter 3. After this, you’ll be given access to use the boat and drive around the lake. Head to the center of the lake, where a small boat is rusted and destroyed. You can dock at the side of it and get on it. Walk to the top of the boat, and there will be a chest to open. Open the chest to receive the Red9 handgun in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

There is plenty to explore in the lake area, so be sure to drive the boat around to all of the different locations.
The Red9 handgun is pretty powerful up front, but it lacks the accuracy of the Punisher until you get the stock for it. You will not have access to the Red9 stock until later in the game, so you’ll have to make the choice of if you want to upgrade it now or later.
