Line 'em up, infest them with toxic spores.

Securing new weapons in Warframe is a difficult experience most of the time, though while this weapon isn’t difficult, it is time-consuming to craft. Here’s how to get the Proboscis Cernos in Warframe.

How to Build the Proboscis Cernos in Warframe

The process of getting a Proboscis Cernos in Warframe is a lengthy one, so strap in. To do so, you’ll want to head to the Market and purchase a Cernos blueprint. Then, let this build for the 12 hours or so that it needs to. From there, you’ll want to purchase a Mutalist Cernos blueprint from the Market and do the same thing. This will consume the Cernos, so be sure you’ve leveled it to 30 first to get the Mastery from it. Finally, you’ll want to snag the blueprint for the Proboscis Cernos in the Market and craft it. Again, be sure you get the Mutalist Cernos to 30 before doing this, or you’ll need to craft it again for Mastery. Finally, you’ll have a Proboscis Cernos for yourself.

The main difference of the Proboscis Cernos over the other Cernos bows (and bows in general, for that matter) is its tendril mechanic. When shooting the bow, the impact of its shots will release tendrils that go out and pull nearby enemies into the center, before exploding. This makes it particularly solid for dealing with crowds and things of the sort.

Is the Proboscis Cernos Worth Using?

While I heavily prefer the ever-powerful Nataruk, the Proboscis Cernos is far from a bad choice for bows. If built for stats like Multishot and various statuses, then the bow can be excellent for clearing hordes and applying more than enough debuffs. Just don’t expect single arrows to do that much damage on their own.
