How to Get The Prime in Starfield

When you're in your prime, you can take down anything!

Starfield The Prime

Many of the unique weapons in Starfield come free and clear of any price tag. You earn them from theft, bribery, and as quest rewards for working alongside one of the many factions in the game. But The Prime is different. It’s a unique, named revolver that anyone with the credits can buy. So, before the Shaw Gang scoops this one up, here’s how to get The Prime in Starfield.

The Prime is one of the easiest and strongest unique pistols in Starfield to acquire. All it takes is a quick field trip to Akila City, then immediately turn right as you enter the main gate. You’ll find Laredo Firearms along the right-hand side of the road, underneath the archway, and inside is The Prime.

It will cost a bit of credits, unfortunately. In fact, you’ll need approximately 20,000 credits to walk out with the bad boy. Is it worth that sum? Absolutely!

I’m a big fan of any game that allows me to wield a revolver, so venturing around Akila City with a big iron on my hip makes me overjoyed. But a standard revolver is so drab. It only makes sense for a space-faring gunslinger to wield a unique weapon as both a status symbol and to display raw strength, just like with these impressive stats:

  • Weapon Type: Pistol.
  • Damage Type: Physical.
  • Damage: 61.
  • Ammunition Type: 7.5mm Whitehot.
  • Magazine Size: 6.
  • Fire Rate: 12.
  • Range: 48.
  • Accuracy: 79.8%.
  • Mass: 3.60.
  • Value: 19165.
  • Mod Slot 1: High Velocity.
  • Mod Slot 2: Laser Sight.
  • Mod Slot 3: Muzzle Break.
  • Mod Slot 4: Penetrator Rounds.
  • Mod Slot 5: Recon Scope.
  • Rare Effect: Elemental – Randomly deal corrosive, radiation, poison, and incendiary damage to a target.
  • Item ID: 002DFD41.

With the ability to scale in damage using Ballistics and Pistol Certification, alongside its incredible elemental damage, The Prime earns its name and reputation. This is a revolver that, despite its cost, will last you well into the mid- and late-game of Starfield.
