You can unlock the Patriot Exosuit by reaching level 25 and spending 25,000 Requisition Slips at the Ship Management screen. The new mech Stratagem is found under the “Robotics Workshop” section of the Stratagems category as the final unlock. In this section, the second highest unlock is the EMS Mortar Sentry, which requires Helldivers to be at level 20, so the new mech takes a bit longer to get a hold of.

The XP needed for the unlock is really just the beginning. Earning the Patriot Exosuit is going to require at least 20,000 Requisition Slips. Make sure that you’re completing all the objectives on the map and searching all points of interest to earn as many slips as possible. It may take you a handful of missions with plenty of danger, but eventually, the new exosuit can be yours to call in when you need it in the field.

If you’re playing Helldivers 2 directly after the liberation of Tien Kwan, then you will automatically have access to the Patriot Exosuit. Everyone who spawns in can call in the mech without sacrificing additional slots for Stratagems. However, this is just a reward for the community coming together and defeating the Automatons. Eventually, you will need to earn the exosuit through the Ship Management screen like anything else in the game.

After you get your mech, prepare for the Cutting Edge Warbond on the way in Helldivers 2.
