Where to Find the Opticor Vandal in Warframe

The Opticor Vandal can be acquired in one of two ways. The first way, and honestly the more likely one, is to complete the Thermia Fractures event and collect the final reward. While we aren’t going to go into the full explanation here, you’ll want to head to the Orb Vallis when the event is active and use Coolant Canisters to acquire Thermia from the various fractures around the map. For each one you complete, you’ll make progress toward completing the event. Once you hit 100 on the event progress, you’ll have a brand-new Opticor Vandal.

If the event isn’t up, there’s another way to score the weapon. This is through Baro Ki’Teer, though it’ll heavily depend on whether he’s selling the Opticor Vandal during that visit. If he is, you can snag the weapon for 550,000 Credits and 650 Ducats. Given how easy the event is, however, you’ll only want to use this method if you want to get the weapon again.

Is the Opticor Vandal Worth Using?

The Opticor Vandal is a stronger version of the base Vandal, sporting stronger crit stats, status chance, magazine size, reload speed, and better charge rate, only sacrificing raw damage. It’s a solid sniper rifle of sorts, only missing some of the stats of the best weapons in the game. If you like using it, you could do far worse. If you’re looking to build it, you’ll want to get mods that improve its critical stats alongside some status effects if possible.
