Destiny 2 has seen many changes throughout its years, with weapons being sunset, reinstated, buffed, then nerfed. But with the rise of Lightfall coming at the end of the month, weapons that have lain dormant in vaults will see new life. And that includes the Power Weapon, Two-Tailed Fox. Here’s how to get the Exotic Two-Tailed Fox for yourself in Destiny 2.
How to Get the Exotic Two-Tailed Fox in Destiny 2 in 2023
I’ll be honest. I’m a huge fan of the Twin-Tailed Fox. It’s E-Girl perfection, and it even squeaks like a fox when you switch to it. And its firepower? Well, that’s icing on the cake. Icing that’s only gotten sweet with Bungie’s buff announcements.
Many weapons are seeing adjustments, but one big thing Bungie is focusing on is getting more traction out of weapon subclasses. And the Two-Tailed Fox, a Heavy Exotic, is a weapon that can shoot two rocks with two different subclass elements: solar and void.
So, what do Two-Tailed Fox buffs mean for Lightfall in Destiny 2?
These new buffs will apply subclass verbs from multiple damage types without any extra effort. The Two-Tailed Fox’s solar rocket will now apply 90 scorch stacks instead of burn. The void rock applies suppress. And if it receives a Catalyst? The rocket will probably be Arc, which will allow it to jolt or blind.

But how do you get this Exotic Rocket Launcher for yourself? Well… through sheer dumb luck, unfortunately. Since the Rockets release in 2018, the Two-Tailed Fox has been a random Exotic Drop… but you need the Season of the Forsaken to find it. Even if Xur sells it, you still won’t be able to buy it. Heartbreaking, right?
The Season of the Forsaken currently runs for $19 USD, and you’ll have to weight whether the Two-Tailed Fox, and an assortment of other Exotics, are worth the cost.
