How to Get the Enchanter in Fire Emblem Engage

Wave 4 hit on April 4, and with it has come a whole new storyline, new recruitable characters, and even two new classes. But actually trying out these new classes is much more difficult than you might think.

To unlock the Enchanter, you’re going to need to complete the Fell Xenologue campaign. There are a total of six chapters you’re going to have to contend with, with about four to five hours of gameplay and cut scenes to get through. But once you’ve successfully beaten the final boss and get the end credits, you’ll return to the Somniel where you’ll get a whole host of items, which can now also be purchased in the item shop.

Amongst these host of items is the Mystic Satchel, a unique item that will allow you to reclass your character of choice into the Enchanter! And while “Enchanter” sounds quite a bit similar to Sage, it’s very different.

Unlike the Sage, the Enchanter is a Qi Adept, with B Proficiency in Dagger and Fist. It’s also a class that’s all about items, much like the Red Mage in Final Fantasy. The Enchanter can buff your unit’s weapons, heal, or even prevent chain attacks. It all depends on what item they use. And of course, they have unrestricted access to the Convoy. What else is the Mystic Satchel, if not a Bag of Holding?

It’s certainly a fun class that echoes the unique abilities of the Ancient Well. But is it worth it? Let’s check out the stats.

As you can see, the Enchanter goes hard into HP, with equal distribution in Strength and Magic, very similar to Mauvier. But they also have great Luck and Dexterity, which works well for both their Avoid and their ability to get off a few Crits here and there. Overall, it’s likely that this will be a niche class that some godly unit builders will likely be able to abuse.

We’ll just have to see how they play out in Relay Trials!
