How to Unlock the Cellular Adapter Cyberware in Cyberpunk 2077

Why be a boring human when you could be an unstoppable cyborg? Especially if you happen to spend more of your days getting shot at.

That’s where the Cellular Adapter comes in. At its base level, this cyberware offers +10 Carry Capacity, 74 Armor, and +2 Health. But as you continue to upgrade it, it can give you up to 200 Armor, making it one of the best cyberware in the game.

Here’s how to get and unlock the Cellular Adapter in Cyberpunk 2077.

First, any Ripperdoc will sell the Cellular Adapter. It can be found in the Integumentary System options. If you don’t see it yet, you may need to reach at least level 15 for it to become available.

Once you see it in the shop, you’ll need to have at least 15 points in Technical Ability.

This will allow you to unlock the ability “License to Chrome.” This skill can be found in your character’s menu. Once you’ve unlocked “License to Chrome,” you’ll then need to unlock the sub-skill “Built Different.”

Built Different will unlock Cellular Adapter cyberware, making it installable at any Ripperdoc’s clinic. After that, you just need to find a Ripperdoc and pay them the eddies.

Expect to fork over at least 13,000 eddies. But with armor like that, it’s well worth the price. Especially if you’re already running Tech weapons.
