How to Get Thalamus in Hades 2

Hades 2 contains a large list of resources to collect from minerals to be mined, seeds to be planted, and materials that can concocted. Thalamus is one resource necessary for an important upgrade, so here is how to get Thalamus in Hades 2.

How to Find Thalamus in Hades 2

Hades 2 players can get Thalamus by acquiring Origin Seeds from the Chaos region and planting them at the Crossroads. Players will need to have the Silver Spade equipped before entering the run, and dig up any dirt patches after entering the Chaos Gate.

The Origin Seeds will not be available to get from the beginning and will take talking to Chaos itself before it can become farmable. More specifically, players will first have to get access to the surface and have the Unraveling A Fateful Bond Incantation available at the Crossroads Cauldron.

Once the incantation is available, talking to Chaos the next time will unlock Origin Seeds during the run. Chaos will even give you an Origin Seed to start with. Entering the Chaos Gate from then on with the Silver Spade equipped can spawn digging spots in the Chaos realm that contain Origin Seeds.

The Origin Seeds can then be planted at the soil spots in the Crossroads, which will then grow into Thalamus. It will take seven encounters for Thalamus to grow, so one run in the underworld should be enough.

How to Use Thalamus in Hades 2

The main use for Thalamus is to purchase the Unraveling A Fateful Bond Incantation. This incantation will allow players to explore the surface more without dying after only a few minutes.

The Unraveling A Fateful Bond Incantation requires two Lotus, two Moss, two Nightshade, and two Thalamus. Chaos will already give one Origin Seed for talking to it, so players will need to keep going through the underworld until another Chaos gate appears to dig up another.
