Tears are a rare resource in Hades 2 as players will need to defeat a specific boss over and over again to build up a supply of them for upgrades. Here is how to get Tears in Hades 2.
How to Find Tears in Hades 2
Hades 2 players can get Tears by defeating the Infernal Beast/Cerebus in the Mourning Fields, the game’s third area after Erebus and Oceanus. The three-headed dog and Hades’ giant pet serve as the guardian and final boss of the Mourning Fields.
It will be a trek for players to reach the Infernal Beast as they need to clear the two previous regions, Headmistress Hecate, Scylla and her band of Sirens, and the open areas of the Mourning Fields. This can be time-consuming, considering that defeating the Infernal Beast will be rewarded with One Tear per run.
The fight itself is no cakewalk, as the giant three-headed dog can cause massive damage with its constant paw swipes and area-of-effect casts underneath the player. It also summons a group of elite monsters during the fight as it temporarily retreats. All players can do is keep moving and attack its rear until the health bar has been depleted.
How to Use Tears in Hades 2
While Tears are a rare resource, there are not many upgrades that require it. That means players should have a couple already by the time it is needed. The biggest upgrade that requires Tears would be the Attending a Faithful Beast Incantation, which allows your Animal Familiar to work for you. Players will also need the resource to get the Moros Weapon Aspect for the Umbral Flames weapon, but that also requires the somewhat rare Bronze resource as well.
