• Complete daily research tasks for 7 days and receive the Research Breakthrough
• Small chance to receive a Sinnoh Stone by defeating Team Rocket Go Leaders
• Another small chance to get a Sinnoh Stone from GO League Mystery Items
• Defeat Trainers in PvP

So, the most straightforward way to pick up a Sinnoh Stone is probably to complete Research Tasks every day. While you’re kicking about PokeStops and getting Research Tasks completed, you’re going to want to keep that streak going for 7 days if you want a chance at getting your Sinnoh Stone. Again, this isn’t a foolproof plan since you may even well get a Unova Stone. However, it’s a step in the right direction. You might also be able to net a Sinnoh Stone if you go up against the leaders on Community Day (the next one is coming up soon) and thrash them. We’re personally a fan of cranking through Research Tasks for a week straight, but you do you.
