No one's cravings' as weird as Gaston's

Where to Get Scorpions in Disney Dreamlight Valley

For this quest, you’ll need to head to the Glittering Dunes section of Eternity Island. Scorpions are sand creatures, after all… or are they? Turns out there’s a bit of Disney logic in here and you need to fish out Scorpions from sparkling orange or blue rippling pools. A Scorpion should be waiting to be caught just under it.

To do this, you need the Fishing Rod, which is an item you receive from Goofy when you complete the Fishing Expedition Quest. To fish, just stand near the spot and press the command to throw your fishing line. It’s pretty much the classic fishing mechanic.

What Are Scorpions Used For?

Scorpions are a required ingredient for some Eternity Island-exclusive recipes. Though the recipe might require ingredients from other areas, remember that Scorpions are found exclusively at the Glittering Dunes, specifically at The Plains, The Wastes, and The Borderlands. If you get excited and gather too many, they can be sold for 425 coins. And if you eat them, they restore 900 energy.

Speaking of eating them, a Scorpion is a key item needed to unlock Gaston from The Beauty and The Beast. You will find him in the dunes and he will ask you to get him a “Flexing Spider-Like Thing?” (he certainly needed to read more). If you’ve caught any Scorpions before talking to him, you can just give him that one. If not, there should be a sparkling orange pool near to where he is. You can get Gaston his snack there.
