How to Get Rid of the Unfulfilled Dreams Fear in The Sims 4
To get rid of the unfulfilled dreams fear in The Sims 4, you can either fulfil wants or drink a fear-be-gone potion from the Aspirations store. If you don’t want to encounter wants and fears anymore, you can also turn them off in your Game Options under the Gameplay menu.
The Unfulfilled Dreams fear is caused by not fulfilling any of your character’s wants for an extended time. It reminds us that our characters sometimes feel like their lives are being controlled. Fortunately, the main ways to get rid of this fear are fairly simple.
Fulfilling Wants in The Sims 4
The first method requires you to fulfil your Sims’ wants before discussing the fear with another Sim.
Since your sims gain this fear from not fulfilling any wants, you’ll have to start fixing this before combating it. Go to the character with the Unfulfilled Dreams fear and complete the wants that appear above their portrait. After fulfilling at least one, a spiked thought bubble will appear, prompting you to the next part of this process.

Once you find the spiked thought bubble, the next step is to Discuss Fears with another character. It doesn’t matter who you do this with, as long as you talk to at least one person. Once you Discuss Fears with someone, you’ll successfully conquer your fear.
Drinking a Fear-Be-Gone Potion
Your other option is to buy a Fear-Be-Gone Potion from the Aspiration Rewards Store. It costs 300 points, making it relatively inexpensive compared to traits. However, you can only get rid of one fear by doing this. You’ll have to choose between them or buy several potions if you have multiple.
You’ll gain satisfaction points as you fulfill your character’s aspirations and wants. Since wants usually give around 25-50 points each, you’ll have to finish multiple to gain enough for the potion. You can also knock out some easy aspirations, but these are a finite source of points.
After using either method to get satisfaction points, head into the Aspirations Rewards Store and find the Fear-Be-Gone Potion. Once you buy it, you’ll find it in your character inventory. Drink it to get rid of your Unfulfilled Dreams fear.
How to Turn Off Fears and Wants in The Sims 4
While having wants on is an exciting aspect of giving your Sims some autonomy, sometimes, it’s a little difficult to keep track of them. If you have numerous Sims in your household, you’ll have to juggle between each and try to fulfill their wants to prevent this fear from occurring.

In a situation where this gets overwhelming, you can head into your Game Options, go into Gameplay and turn off “Show Wants & Fears”. By doing this, your wants will disappear, and any fears your Sims currently have will never appear again. If you start to miss your wants and fears, you can turn them back on in this menu too.
