How to Get Nourishing Extract in Monster Hunter World (MHW)

More damage is on the way

Most of the crafting items in Monster Hunter World can be easily farmed or cultivated for easy access, but Nourishing Extract is uniquely annoying to farm. This guide will cover where you can get more of the extract so you can craft Mega Demondrugs.

Where to Farm Nourishing Extract in MHW

You can get Nourishing Extract by hunting the Odagaron, Paolumu, and the Dodogama. Anytime you take down one of these monsters, you have a chance to earn the extract as a final hunt reward when you complete your mission or head back to the hub. However, you can’t carve the material directly from these monsters.

Your best bet is to complete investigations for the Odagaron, Dodogama, or the Paolumu. Gold rewards within investigations have a nearly 15% chance of yielding Nourishing Extract. Silver rewards also have a high rate, but you want to avoid the bronze rewards if you have the choice. When you farm these investigations, there are plenty of opportunities for the extract to appear.

Monsters That Provide Nourishing Extract in MHW:

  • Odagaron
  • Ebony Odagaron
  • Dodogama
  • Paolumu

If you don’t have any investigations to run for the three monsters listed, then you can also run standard quests. Each one will have a chance to yield extract as long one of the three is involved, but there is one quest that has a super high chance of dropping Nourishing Extract by default. Triple Threat Throwdown is an HR13 event quest that you can run for a nearly 25% chance of getting the item you want.

Once you have some Nourishing Extract in Monster Hunter World, it’s time to get a massive damage boost. Mega Demondrugs require the use of the extract, which is why so many players farm the items ahead of time. It never hurts to have a healthy stash ready for use in tough hunts.

While you’re farming, make sure to get ahead of your Large Wyvern Gem collection.
