The First Descendant players can get new playable Descendants by either earning them in-game or buying them outright. Players do not need to spend real money to get new characters, but it will eliminate the grind of earning them in-game.

Players will have to research new Descendants and Ultimate Descendants with Anais, located in the futuristic gazebo on the right side of Albion. The game will walk players through earning the first new Descendant Bunny by completing missions. Others can be the same, but it will be a different cost.

Descendants and Ultimate Descendants will have to be researched by gathering the correct number of materials and gold for each part and the blueprint itself. Thankfully, all the material requirements for each and where to get them are listed at Anais.

Descendants earned by completing story missions will cost 400,000 Gold to complete, Descendants earned by gathering materials will cost a total of 1,000,000 Gold, and Ultimate Descendants will cost a total of 2,250,000 Gold to research.

The Ultimate Descendants have increased stats over the normal versions. Players will also have to wait for research to complete if they do not want to pay extra, which will take 16 hours for Descendants and 36 hours for Ultimate Descendants.

Descendants and Ultimate Descendants can also be purchased with Caliber, the game’s premium currency. Players will get immediate access to any characters bought, regardless of rank.

The regular Descendants can be bought for 300, 600, or 900 Caliber each. There are also ticket packages that offer a ticket to unlock one Descendant from the list, depending on the package, alongside boosts and an extra Descendant slot.

Ultimate Descendants can be bought for either 3,000 or 5,000 Caliber each from the in-game store. The less expensive package comes with the character and extra Descendant slot, while the more expensive package comes with additional cosmetic items and enhancement materials.
