From January 10, 8 AM to January 16, 10 PM Mega Salamence will be the debuting during Pokemon GO’s Twinkling Fantasy Event. The Twinkling Fantasy event, as its name implies, will heavily feature both Fairy and Dragon-Type Pokemon. But the start of this event is undoubtedly Mega Salamence, who will begin appearing in Mega Raids. And yes, it can be shiny!

In order to capture him, you’ll need to tackle these Mega Raids with at least 2 or more trainers. But Mega Salemence is no slouch, so expect a tough fight. Its typing is Dragon-Flying and its Raid Boss CP is 50,285.

It’s weak to Rock, Fairy, Dragon, and has a double weakness to Ice. The best Pokemon to bring to this raid are:

• Galar Darmantian with Ice Fang and Avalanche
• Mega Abomasnow with Powder Snow and Weather Ball
• Mega Glalie with Frost Breath and Avalanche
• Mewtwo with Psycho Cut and Ice Beam
• Glaceon with Frost Breath and Avalanche
• Weavile with Ice Shard and Avalanche
• Avalugg with Ice Fang and Avalanche
• Aurorus with Frost Breath and Weather Ball

But if you don’t have any of these Pokemon, anything with an Ice Type move will be your best bet.
