How to Unlock Kar98k in MW3 and Warzone

Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone players can get the Kar98k by completing Sector 5 of the Season 4 Battle Pass. The pass contains various groups of five rewards called sectors and requires players to unlock every reward in a sector to open up adjacent sectors.

Each sector in the Season 4 Battle Pass requires five Battle Token Tier Skips to complete. Players will need 15 Battle Token Tier Skips to fully unlock the Kar98k from Sector 1 at the beginning. Sector 5 is near the start of the pass, so players only need to go to the right through Sector 3 to get to the reward group.

Battle Token Tier Skips can be earned by playing any multiplayer modes across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, MW3 Zombies, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Completing games and kills will reward you with XP and more Tier Skips, though they can also be purchased individually or as part of the BlackCell Battle Pass Bundle.

Players do not need to purchase the Season 4 Battle Pass to get the Kar98k. All players can progress through the pass and unlock the weapon for free. However, buying the pass for 1,100 COD Points will give a 10% overall boost to XP and earn Battle Token Tier Skips faster.

The Kar98k is only available through the Battle Pass in Season 4, and will be moved to the Armory once the season is over with new requirements to get. For more on Modern Warfare 3, check out how to get and upgrade the Science Journal in MW3 Zombies.
