Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don’t skimp when it comes to the sheer diversity offered of Pokemon. There are 400 Pokemon that you can register in the Pokedex, and Paldea offers 104 totally brand new Pokemon for trainers to pursue through the rolling hills and chilled mountains.
Unfortunately, there are certain Pokemon that you can only obtain once you’ve wrecked those Team Star Bases, raided the pantries of all the Titan Pokemon, and decimated every trainer on your way to becoming a Champion. These Pokemon are Paradoxes, influenced by whether you picked the game tied to the past or to the future.
If you’ve finished the story line, you can finally venture into The Great Crater of Paldea, where these rare Paradox Pokemon have been hiding out. Among these Paradoxs might be Iron Hands, the Fighting / Electric Pokemon, that seems to be a distant, futuristic relative of Hariyama.
But it isn’t Hariyama, of course. In fact, it’s reputed to be an athlete that was once mortally wounded and has been reborn as a cyborg.
With that said, expect spoilers below.
How to Get Iron Hands in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Important to note before you even begin your quest to obtain this nonbinary cyborg is that Iron Hands is only obtainable if you have Pokemon Violet. If you have Violet, enter into the Crater through the door East of Medali. Inside, approach the platform and teleport to Research Station 1.

Once you enter the open field, head straight North towards the tree. While it’s not a guarantee, Iron Hands frequently spawns here.
It will spawn in the mid to late 50’s, but don’t underestimate it. Iron Hands has the highest base attack of all Paradox Pokemon and highest base HP of all Fighting, Electric, and Paradox Pokemon. It’s quite tanky!
Good luck catching that Iron Hands, trainer!
