How to Get Imperio in Hogwarts Legacy

Getting any Unforgivable Curse in Hogwarts Legacy requires progressing through Sebastian’s friendship storyline. Imperio, in particular, requires completing a series of quests, including some that introduce other spells you can learn. You’ll know you’re getting close when you have to complete an assignment from Professor Weasley during the main story.

Eventually, you’ll encounter the “In the Shadow of Time” mission, where you’ll get your first opportunity to learn the spell. However, you can also decline this offer, resulting in you never learning the curse. Fortunately, you can return to the Undercroft later and ask Sebastian to teach you the spell if you initially decline the offer.

The Imperius Curse is one of three Unforgivable Curses that, when used, puts the victim under your control. The enemy temporarily becomes your minion, attacking other opponents in the surrounding area. If there are no enemies around, they’ll stand there and not do anything until the spell wears off, to which they’ll begin attacking you again.
