How to Get Grafaiai in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Grafaiai was one of the Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet we saw pre-release. This Poison/Normal-type resembles a small monkey with a spray paint problem.

You can get a Grafaiai in a few different ways. First off, if you’ve seen a Shroodle, that’s the first form of Grafaiai. So if you already have, or catch a Shroodle, level it up to 28 and it will evolve into Grafaiai. Shroodle can be found easily outside of Los Platos.

If you don’t want to be bothered training a Shroodle, you can try and catch a Grafaiai already evolved. Grafaiai can be found in the Tagtree Thicket in the northeast section of Paldea. Look for it near Team Star’s Poison Crew base.

Can Grafaiai Be Shiny in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

Grafaiai’s Shiny version is black and purple. It might be hard to tell when looking at it, mainly because Pokemon Scarlet and Violet don’t help distinguish Shiny Pokemon in the wild with a sound effect like Pokemon Legends: Arceus did. Just keep your eyes peeled; you might be lucky enough to find one.

Your Pokemon will not attack a Shiny if you use the new “Let’s Go” feature. It will go up to it and shake its head. So at least it’s good to know you won’t accidentally kill it.

And that’s how you get Grafaiai in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This new take on the traditional Pokemon formula will surely have many players scratching their heads, but don’t worry.
