Glass can be crafted by placing two Sand and one Brightcore into a Metal Smelter. Crafting the material yourself is going to be the only genuine method of harvesting, so don’t waste your time searching each biome. Instead, you need to get started on upgrading the Crafting Bench in your village. The rare upgrade is the minimum requirement before you can start stacking up on materials needed for the Metal Smelter.

In LEGO Fortnite, the Lava Caves are going to be the most important part of the Dry Valley desert biome for this process. Sand, Brightcore, and Obsidian are the three main materials needed for the Metal Smelter and they all happen to be in the Lava Caves. But you need the Rare Pickaxe first, which is why we start with upgrading the Crafting Bench. After you have your tools and you mine in the Lava Caves, it’s time to get started on crafting Glass.

Two pieces of Sand and one Brightcore from the Lava Caves will get you one Glass from the smelting process. That means you need to start farming materials ahead of time. Especially if you want to work on crafting Power Cells. At least six pieces of Glass are needed to make one Power Cell for your vehicles in LEGO Fortnite. Your Metal Smelter will be hard at work to start stacking up all that Sand and Brightcore but the end result is worth your time.

If you haven’t already, make sure to build your car ahead of the cells so you can start traveling with ease.
