As you reach Chapter 7 in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, your Transmuter recipes will call for better materials such as Exquisite Beast Hide. To help your party stay ahead of the curve, it’s time to start hunting for the material in the open world.
Where to Find Exquisite Beast Hide in FF7 Rebirth
Exquisite Beast Hide can be earned by killing Chimeras or Duneworms in the Corel and Gongaga Regions. These are two common ways to obtain the material as you enter Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 within Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, but it’s not the only way. Nearly any tough fiend within the Corel, Gongaga, and Cosmo Canyon regions will potentially drop the hide. On fiends like the Chimera, it’s almost a guarantee. On rare fiends like the Maloceros, the drop is harder to get.
The Corel region has a north and south side that open up over a few different chapters. You can start farming Exquisite Hide by clearing the towers all over the map. Out of the two different sides, the southern region of Corel seems to have a better chance of providing hide, but it’s worth exploring everywhere. Kill any fiends you encounter with your party and start opening any chests you find. They always have a chance to drop materials.
When you reach Gongaga and the Cosmo Canyon, you’ll have better chances to collect Exquisite Beast Hide in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Just like before, keep hunting down fiends until you have enough material for the upgrades or Transmutations you need. Eventually, you can start crafting recipes such as Supernatural Wristguards and the Survival Vest. Personally, I would go for the wristguards right away.
While you hunt for hide, stay on the lookout for Exquisite Beast Spine as well.
