Deformed Biometal drops only from select missions in The First Descendant. Farming a few of these materials takes a while, but you can quicken things by following some strategies. Here’s how to get Deformed Biometal in The First Descendant as fast as possible.
Where to Get Deformed Biometal in The First Descendant
Deformed Biometal drops from Zone Recon Missions in the Fortress region. However, there are multiple Zone Recon Missions in the area, and not all of them drop Deformed Biometals. You want to farm the following missions:
- Frozen Valley: Vulgus Strategic Outpost
- Convertor Facility: Vulgus Strategic Outpost
Artificial Biometal will drop from the last commander in each of the missions. They’ll drop from normal and hard difficulties. However, it is worth pointing out that hard gives 1.5x more than normal, so you’ll get more drops per mission on hard mode.
Best Deformed Biometal Farming Strategy
To speed up your farm, you want to alternate between Frozen Valley and Convertor Facilities while switching difficulties to reset the instances. You can switch your world instance to private, which is seen next to the region’s name when you open the map.
This strategy will prevent you from entering instances where the Zone Recon Missions are still on cooldown. It takes five minutes before you can start a Zone Recon Mission again, so we want to switch instances to restart it. When you have some time, you can use Ecive Scan to farm Hellions or Reverse Charging Coils in the area, too.
