Many resources in Hades 2 serve the same purpose as they did in the previous title, but collecting some of them is more difficult than before. Darkness, a notoriously difficult material to collect, has returned in Hades 2, and is just as important to have as ever. Here’s how to get Darkness in Hades 2.
Where Can You Find Darkness in Hades 2
In Hades 2, Darkness can be found in the realm of Chaos. This can be accessed through the Chaos Gates, which makes farming this resource very tricky. The Chaos Gates spawn at random, and there’s nothing you can do to find them more often.
Secondly, accessing Chaos Gates isn’t available from the very beginning. You’ll have to spend a significant amount of time to clear all the content. Chaos Gates will start to spawn once you’ve beaten Chronos, and once again, completing this task itself is pretty hard as well.
How to Find Darkness in Hades 2
Once you beat Chronos, Chaos Gates will start to appear around the Underworld. When you speak with Chaos for the first time, you’ll receive one Darkness for free. Whenever you enter Chaos Gates from this point, you’ll have the opportunity to find Darkness floating in the air and appearing randomly within the realm. Thankfully, there’s no special tool required to gather Darkness.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to quicken this process, but make sure to enter Chaos Gates whenever they appear. Do note that these gates are filled with risk, but the rewards are certainly worth your time and effort. You can also purchase a particular boon from Well of Charon, which guarantees that a Chaos Gate will spawn.
While the existing system is tricky, it could change in the future as Hades 2 is in early access, and several developments are going to be included in the future.
