Copper Wire can be created by depositing two Copper Ore into the Assembler. It can only be made from the machine, and cannot be harvested or found in the environment.

The recipe for the Copper Wire will be unlocked once players gather Copper Ore for the first time, but the Assembler construct is required to get Copper Wire. The Assembler can be built with 10 Aluminum Rods, 10 Stone, and four Plant Oil.

Copper Ore can be found in the environment, and players can get the mineral first from the Edge Cliffs area. It is located just south of The Meadows starting location, and most of the area is on top of a cliffside.

The Edge Cliffs will not be able to produce Copper Ore until the player has cleaned the entire area of Noxious Weeds. The purple glowing plants will be strewn about the area, though players only need the base Vacuum Harvester tool to restore the Edge Cliffs. Copper Ore should appear in the area a day or two after restoration.
