Ghosts are a criminally underutilized resource. They have the capability of boosting your Glimmer, your EXP, and even ensuring that your armor or weapons get good stat drops. They’re also useful at farming resources, too. Here’s how to get Cloud Accretions in Destiny 2.
How to Get Cloud Accretions in Destiny 2 Lightfall
If you’re hoping to stockpile Planetary materials to get Upgrade Cores, Enhancement Prisms, and maybe even buy some Legacy Exotics down the line, then hats off to you. It’s always good to be prepared. Cloud Accretions are the newest Planetary Material to be added to Destiny 2, and they can be a bit of a pain to find.
These Planetary Materials are scattered across Zephyr Concourse, Ahimsa Park, and Liming Harbor. They spawn randomly, and they’re not extremely obvious. The best way to go about finding them is to use your Ghost.

Go into your Ghost’s mods, and in the second Track Ghost slot, choose Wombo Detector. Opt for the highest Detector you can afford. The 50-meter range one is ideal. Then, equip the Ghost with this mod. It’s always a good idea to have multiple Ghost shells with different Mods equipped, so you can optimize your resource gain when you take part in activities.
With your Planetary-Material seeking Ghost equipped, jump on your Sparrow and start driving circuits through Neomuna. It’s possible to drive in a circle around the entire city. You’ll see diamonds where your Ghost has detected a Cloud Accretion. Head towards it and harvest it.
In doing so, you’ll get both the Planetary Material, some glimmer, Neomuna Reputation, and EXP. Unfortunately, you’ll likely be here awhile. It’s a material with a fairly low spawn rate.
