Chlorine - good for weapons AND pools.

There’s a good chance that if you’ve spent time poring over your workbench, you’ve found a recipe that requires a little resource called Chlorosilanes. And while tracking down elements, particularly uncommon ones like Chlorosilanes, can be difficult, it’s not impossible. Here’s how to find Chlorosilanes in Starfield.

Where to Find Chlorosilanes in Starfield

I really, really love my shotgun, the Lacerate Suppressed Calibrated Pacifier. It’s not even Legendary, but with the mod Large Magazine installed, it can easily take down entire rooms of enemies. But to keep modding it, I quickly found I needed an element called “Chlorosilanes.” And I didn’t have to go far to find it.

To find Chlorosilanes, there’s a trick. You just have to find planets that have the resource “Chlorine.” If it does, then there’s a Chlorosilanes vein nearby, and you can quickly set up an outpost and start mining to your heart’s content.

And you don’t have to go far to find a planet in Starfield that has Chlorosilanes. Here are a few options:

  • Jemison, Alpha Centauri System.
  • Gagarin, Alpha Centauri System.
  • Kurtz, Alpha Centauri System.
  • Earth, Sol System.
  • Porrima III, Porrima System.

Yep! The planet you’ll spend the most time on, Jemison, is absolutely surrounded by Chlorine and planets and moons that have Chlorine. Making this uncommon element actually pretty common and easy to grab.

To find out where Chlorine is plentiful on a planet or moon, select it from your star map. Then, press the button you would use to scan while on the ground. This will show you a map of its resources. You can then land on the resource of your choice, in this case, Chlorosilanes, and immediately set up an outpost. Mining it the normal way isn’t an option; you’ll need an extractor!

If you’re curious about all the weapons revealed so far in Starfield, look no further. There’s a finite amount of weapons, but there are quite a few ways to customize them and really make them your own. And while doing so can be taxing in terms of resources, their increased killing power will soon mean that your guns are paying for themselves.
