How to Get the Extension Ladder in Lethal Company

You can buy an extension ladder using your ship’s terminal for 60 scrap. To view the shop’s listings, type store into the terminal before entering extension ladder and confirm. It will appear in your next batch of purchases when you land on a moon.

Once you buy the extension ladder and land on your company’s moon or your next item-collecting mission, a supply ship will descend to the surface, playing a jingle and holding your ladder alongside other items you purchase. After it lands, approach and interact with it to watch the ladder drop to the floor, allowing you to pick it up and keep it in your inventory.

How to Use the Extension Ladder in Lethal Company

The extension ladder has multiple uses, including climbing up a surface and crossing gaps. By holding the ladder and pressing LMB, you’ll lay the ladder’s box on the floor, with it extending and dropping shortly after.

When playing a mission, you can use the ladder to climb up to your ship, cross spaces inside a facility, or any other situation that calls for it. It won’t stand forever, so make sure you use it quickly before the ladder goes back into its box.

Also, be careful while using it, as the ladder can kill anyone standing underneath it as it falls. While I haven’t tested this on monsters, I can confirm that humans will die instantly when the ladder lands on the floor. Don’t stand in front of it if you want to avoid a random death!
