There are a lot of different currencies and materials in FFXIV. You’ll find yourself with an abundance of materials you don’t even know what to do with sometimes. As it currently stands if you wanted to get some of the highest level weapons in the game you’ll need a Discal Tomestone. Here is how to get and use the Discal Tomestone in FFXIV.
How to Get and Use the Discal Tomestone in FFXIV
First off if you’re looking to acquire a Discal Tomestone you’ll need to make sure you have the Pandaemonium raid series unlocked with happens after you’ve completed the main Endwalker campaign.
The Pandaemonium Raid circles each have a boss encounter and at the end, you can roll for different loot. If you’re looking to acquire a Discal Tomestone you’ll need to roll on the item called “Unsung Blade of Asphodelos” which can then be traded in for a Discal Tomestone.
Originally you needed 7 Unsung Blades meaning you could not get your weapon in just one run, however, in Patch 6.1 this requirement has been changed to just four Unsung Blades. It is still incredibly unlikely you will receive all of your blades because you can only get one piece of gear per each of the four circles once a week.
If you do have enough you need to head over to Djole in Radz-at-Han (X:10.3, Y:9.6) and scroll to the bottom of the “Unsung Relic of Asphodelos Exchange DoW/DoM page. There you can exchange for the Discal Tomestone.
Once you have the Tomestone you’ll want to exchange it with Cihanti down the hall (X10.8, Y:10.4). Here choose the option Allagan Tomestones of Astronomy Exchange (Weapons) and find the weapon for your class on the list. This will use the Discal Tomestone as well as 350 Allagan Tomestone of Astronomy.
