While the regular ranged combat of Cyberpunk 2077 feels great on its own, there’s something about running melee that feels extra satisfying. Each of the weapons offers a weighty punch whether they’re sharp or blunt, and feels super fun in intense combat scenarios. One way this is furthered is through the various melee cyberware, though how you get and use it isn’t the clearest. Here’s how to get and use Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077.

How to Get Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077

To get Mantis Blades in Cyberpunk 2077, make your way over a Ripperdoc somewhere in the city. On your map, they’re marked by the person surrounded by a hexagon. Speak with the Ripperdoc, then select the Arms option from the available cyberware. From here you’ll have four different Mantis Blades to choose from, each costing around $90,000. Each has a particular status chance applied based on the type of Mantis Blades. These are as follows:

  • Mantis Blades: 20% Bleeding chance.
  • Toxic Mantis Blades: 20% Poison chance.
  • Thermal Mantis Blades: 20% Burn chance.
  • Electrifying Mantis Blades: 20% Shock chance.

While any type of Mantis Blades are great for certain scenarios, I personally like the Electrifying Mantis Blades since that Shock chance is valuable. You should pick them if you already have points in Intelligence too, since they give bonuses based on your Intelligence points.

How to Kill Enemies Using Mantis Blades

Once you have Mantis Blades equipped on your Arms, hold down either the Alt key or the Y/Triangle buttons on a controller to open the Quick-Access menu, where you can manually select the Mantis Blades to be equipped. With them out, you can use fast attacks by pressing left-click/RT/R2 or block using right-click/LT/L2. You can also hold the fast attacks button to charge a heavy attack, which will lunge you forward and deal massive damage.
