How to Get Ace Sidearm in Starfield

You'll be the ace on the block!

Some of the most unique pistols in Starfield don’t stem from any lengthy questline or challenging boss encounter across the Settled Systems. No, they come from hard work and a paycheck. That’s right; if you visit certain merchants across the galaxy, you’ll find a few unique firearms, including Ace Sidearm. It’s relatively cheap, though powerful for early-game combat encounters. Here’s how to get Ace Sidearm in Starfield!

Where to Get Ace Sidearm in Starfield

Again, you don’t need to spend any time completing quests to acquire Ace Sidearm in Starfield. Instead, you’ll need approximately 10,000 credits, give or take, and a quick trip over to Jemison Mercantile at the Spaceport in New Atlantis. It’s the shop on the corner to your left upon coming up the ramp to the UC Vanguard Security Checkpoint.

Inside, speak with the vendor. She’s pleasant enough, with no life story to bore you, and will offer to sell you a few early-game weapons, ammunition, and resources. Of course, under the weapons category is the Ace Sidearm.

Ace Sidearm Stats and Details

Ace Sidearm is a unique variant of the Sidestar, a relatively powerful early-game pistol that deals adequate damage against foes. But this version includes five pre-installed mods that significantly boost its stats, along with a unique affix to deal additional damage to human enemies.

  • Weapon Type: Pistol
  • Damage Type: Physical
  • Damage: 15
  • Ammunition Type: .27 Caliber
  • Magazine Size: 17
  • Fire Rate: 40
  • Range: 20
  • Accuracy: 72.0%
  • Mass: 1.7
  • Value: 9468
  • Mod Slot 1: Recon Laser Sight
  • Mod Slot 2: Reflex Sight
  • Mod Slot 3: Muzzle Brake
  • Mod Slot 4: Armor-Piercing Rounds
  • Mod Slot 5: High Powered
  • Rare Effect: Anti-Personnel – +10% additional damage against humans.
  • Item ID: 002E073B

For just under 10,000 credits, this is an excellent unique weapon that proves most effective as a sidearm for when your primary runs out of ammunition. I wouldn’t solely rely on it in a firefight, but it’s an exceptional backup that can be yours after selling a few weapons found on Kreet in the prologue.
