How to Get a 3-Plate Comms Vest in COD DMZ

Enemy Operators are in your area!

There is debate about which new Plate Carrier is currently the best in the Call of Duty: DMZ, and the 3-Plate Comms Vest is one of those vests in the running. Regardless of where the equipment ends up in the debate, the radar-based Plate Carrier is one of the best.

Just like all the other new carriers, there will be a few different ways that you can earn the 3-Plate Comms Vest, and each path is viable if you’re up for the challenge. We’ll cover each method for getting the vest in our COD DMZ guide for the latest equipment. Trust me, you don’t want to skip out on this plate carrier.

COD DMZ – Where to Get a 3-Plate Comms Vest

You can easily get a Comms Vest by reaching level 2 for the White Lotus Faction and using the Barter system to craft the vest. Each extraction zone has some unique recipes, but there is a handful of them that are the same globally. The Comms Plate Carrier luckily has a global recipe. Just keep this one in mind for any deployment and you’re good to go.

Barter Recipe for the 3-Plate Comms Vest in DMZ

  • 1 Encrypted Hard Drive
  • 2 Batteries
  • 1 Soothing Hand Cream

For those who don’t feel like crafting, another option is to hunt down two of the new bosses. In Al Mazrah, you can find the Scavenger boss and the Pyro boss. Both of them will be tough fights, but they have the chance to drop some of the new Plate Carriers that dropped in Season 3. Because the Comms Vest is so powerful in DMZ, I personally go for this vest before anything else, and I would recommend you do the same.

The last way to earn one of the 3-Plate Comms Vest in the COD DMZ is to eliminate other enemy Operators. They are tough to find in the standard extraction zones. However, you’ll find an abundance of players using them in Building 21. You’ll just have to make it out of there alive to make the most of your UAVs in the future.
