How to Fix the Satisfactory 1.0 Ultrawide Issues on PC

Hmmm, Ultrawide factories.

Satisfactory is finally out of early access after nearly five years, and its full release adds tons of new systems, optimizations, and content for new and returning players to sink their teeth in. While a lot of technical issues have been addressed over the last few months, especially with the 1.0 release, the ultrawide support still isn’t perfect. Thankfully, a patch by Rose from the widescreen community addresses those in Satisfactory 1.0.

Fixing the Satisfactory 1.0 Ultrawide Issues

This patch from Rose corrects the hands model view reduction and enforces the vertical FOV scaling for all scenes, including the main menu, while playing Satisfactory 1.0 in ultrawide mode.

It’s pretty simple to install as well.

  • Head over to the following GitHub link
  • Download the patch file by clicking the Satisfactory.ultrawide.v1.0.zip under Assets
  • Unpack the zip file in the following location inside the game’s installation folder:
Engine\Binaries\Win64\

After you’re done, simply launch the game, and all the ultrawide issues will be sorted out. Here is a screenshot shared by Rose, which shows the corrected FOV and hands model view.

All credits go to Rose for creating and testing the patch at 2560×1080, 3840×1080, and 5120×1440. You can learn about their work at their Patreon or BuyMeACoffee pages. For now, there aren’t reported issues with the patch, and it works flawlessly.

We hope that the developers are aiming to address this issue in an upcoming patch as well. Considering it’s been so long in development, we were expecting this to be ironed out in 1.0, but it seems other issues took priority.

This is still an Unreal Engine title, so you’ll run into the occasional crashing while playing Satisfactory as well, which can be fixed with a simple tweak to the launch commands. Additionally, with the release of 1.0, you’ll have to update how your ports’ settings if you’re running dedicated servers.
