How to Fix the “Sorry You’re Currently Prevented From Playing Online Multiplayer Games” Error in Palworld – Solution

The “Sorry, you’re currently prevented from playing online multiplayer games” error is plaguing the online community in Palworld currently, and it’s rather annoying. You cannot join a multiplayer server successfully, but these steps should help you fix the problem:

  • Completely quit out of and relaunch Palworld.
  • Restart your router/modem to ensure a stable connection.
  • Update the game if necessary.
  • Check the server status of the game itself.

As of this writing, the issue is largely affecting console players. Here’s one more fix that may help you resolve the multiplayer error on Xbox: navigate to Settings > System > Language & Location. From here, change your region, then restart the console. Palworld may be able to connect now, though it’s certainly not guaranteed.

Why is the Error Happening?

First and foremost, this error is affecting players because Palworld is still in Early Access. This is the studio’s first major hit, and it comes with numerous multiplayer issues as everyone tries to navigate the ever-growing landscape. As time passes, the studio will likely improve connections and server stability.

In some rare instances, however, the reason is on your end. And that’s not to point the blame, of course, but sometimes our internet connections simply falter. Mine goes out pretty regularly because my ISP claims they’re “overloaded” at all hours of the day. If your situation is the same, then a simple router/modem restart should solve the problem altogether.

Once you’re back online, consider setting up a ranch in Palworld to score some much-needed resources.
