We may be in the year 2022, but that doesn’t mean video games such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 are free of endless bugs and glitches. There’s likely to be more of them as games like MW2 grow in size and bring in more content for players to dabble in. It’s a frustrating fact of reality, though thankfully the team seems to be good at finding fixes for particular issues. There are even some that you can fix yourself, and are more on your end than Activision’s. Here’s how to fix the “No Supported DXGI Adapter Were Found” error in MW2.
What is the ‘No Supported DXGI Adapter Were Found’ Error?
First of all, there’s no need to worry. Despite how scary the error might sound at first, it has nothing to do with the hardware in your system. Instead, it has to do with the drivers of your graphics card not being fully up to date and will simply require a quick update. This can be done in one of two ways. The first, and easiest, is to hop onto your GPU’s dedicated program for drivers if you have one (GeForce Experience for Nvidia GPUs, Adrenalin Software for AMD GPUs). The other way, which can be done if you own neither, is to look up your GPU manufacturer’s drivers page, manually select your GPU, then install the drivers there. It may cause your screen to flicker while installing, but that’s no reason to worry.

Once you have the new drivers, try and relaunch the game and it should function as normal. You might even see some optimized performance if the driver update notes are anything to go off of. Keep in mind that if it doesn’t immediately work, a restart of your system might be necessary. Good luck in the field!
