How to Fix the Travis-Rilea Error in MW3

You can restart your internet or your game to fix the Travis-Rilea error in Modern Warfare 3. Most of the time, the error is tied to an internet connection on your end, so making sure your router is working is the first step. As with most of these issues, you just want to restart your router and wait for the connection to come back before attempting to play again.

If you want to save yourself the trouble of restarting your internet, you can always try closing out the game. I’m sure I am not alone in restarting my game before I do anything else. Sometimes the Travis-Rilea error can be fixed after a quick restart to MW3, so it’s not a bad idea to kick things off. However, there is a good chance the issue is still internet-related.

How to Fix MW3 Travis-Rilea Error:

  • Reset your internet connection.
  • Restart Modern Warfare 3 and load back in.
  • Check the Activision Online Services status to make sure the problem isn’t server-side.

The last problem that can cause the error to appear is server-based. When there are any server problems on the Call of Duty side, Travis-Rilea can appear once again. Unfortunately, this just means you need to wait for a server-side fix or for maintenance to conclude. Status updates can help you track server errors.

Modern Warfare 3 has far more than a single error to deal with. If you’re having any trouble joining with a different version, you know where to look.
