How To Fix Failed To Fetch Settings From Twitch Error

If you can’t seem to get Streamlabs OBS to recognize your Twitch settings, preventing you from going live, try these steps below:

1) Restart Streamlabs OBS as administrator

  • Use the Windows Start Menu to search for Streamlabs OBS
  • Once found, right-click and click Run as administrator
  • Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner of Streamlabs OBS
  • Click Logout
  • Close Streamlabs OBS, and open it once again as administrator using the previous steps
  • Login to Streamlabs OBS with your Twitch account

2) Streamlabs OBS Auto-Optimizer

  • Run Streamlabs OBS as administrator (see previous step)
  • On the bottom-left corner, click the Settings button
  • In the General tab, click Auto Optimize
  • Allow the process to complete, then click Next

3) Double-check your Twitch Stream Key

  • On Twitch, click on your profile picture at the top-right
  • Click on Creator Dashboard
  • On the left, click the Settings drop-down menu and click Stream
  • Under Primary Stream Key, click the Show button
  • Copy the revealed Stream Key
  • In Streamlabs OBS, click the Settings button
  • Click the Stream tab and paste your Twitch Stream Key in the field
