Helldivers 2 has had some growing pains, owing mainly to its larger-than-expected player numbers upon launch. The developers have been working tirelessly to address server hiccups caused by the heavy load, such as “Acquisitions Not Working” but in the meantime, here’s what you can do to fix them.

Helldivers 2 Can’t Access Acquisition Center Fix

If you’re having trouble accessing the Acquisition Center, set Matchmaking to “Friends Only,” then run a mission alone. If you don’t want to solo a mission, just return to your ship and attempt to access the Acquisition Center from there. Failing this, restarting the game showed some promise for me personally. Playing during peak hours is sure to increase the incidence of these problems, so be mindful of any signs that the game’s servers aren’t quite keeping up with demand.

The servers have been undergoing maintenance on and off for the last 48 hours, with a more recent patch promising to smooth out server capacity and login issues. If you’re having trouble accessing certain menus, freezing, or otherwise not receiving rewards properly, your best bet is probably going to be to log out completely and try again after some time. I know this isn’t the most satisfying answer, but straining against a server that refuses to budge is only going to lead to further frustration.

Luckily, in regards to rewards not being doled out properly, the developers have promised an increased reward event planned for some time in the near future. So if you (like me) played a bunch of missions and noticed you weren’t getting Acquisitions, Samples, or Medals properly, we may be in luck.

It’s important to have some empathy during times like this – a small development team hammered by immense success working over the weekend to keep their servers from catching fire is a blessing and a curse.
