Escape from Tarkov’s Marathon mode made an already difficult game way harder than ever before. You’ll get introduced to one of the first Marathon mode tasks called Beneath the Streets, where you need to go to Ground Zero, Streets of Tarkov, and Labs in one Marathon raid. One can argue that these three maps are the most dangerous maps in Escape from Tarkov, so you need to plan ahead. Here’s a complete guide to finishing the Beneath the Streets task in Escape from Tarkov.

How to Complete the Beneath the Streets Task in Escape from Tarkov

Here are the objectives for the Beneath the Streets task from Therapist:

  • Locate the passage leading to The Lab on the Streets of Tarkov
  • Use the Transit from the Streets of Tarkov to The Lab
  • Scout the server room in The Lab
  • Scout the hazard dome in The Lab
  • Scout the control room in The Lab
  • Locate the passage leading to Streets of Tarkov in The Lab

Firstly, you need to switch the game mode to Marathon because you can only finish this quest in Marathon. Secondly, you need to prepare for a very long raid, so you need a lot of spare ammo, food, and water for the drinks. There is no guarantee you can get these in the raid, so you might as well bring them. Thirdly, you’ll get the Labs Access Keycard as an initial piece of equipment for taking on the task. You need to bring this Labs Access Keycard as it is needed to get inside the Labs from the Streets of Tarkov. Make sure to put this valuable keycard inside your Pouch or Gamma Container.

All marathon raids start in Ground Zero, and you must stay in the raid for seven minutes before the transit unlocks. The transit is opposite the Terragroup building, down the ramp, and near the Land Cruiser car.

Once you reach the Streets of Tarkov, a new raid will start, so you’ll need to wait for another seven minutes to get to the Labs. The transit location to the Labs from Streets of Tarkov is seen in the images above. The door is in the residential area of the map.

You can check out our in-depth guide on all transit locations for the exact location of every transit point since you’ll need them to get to Streets and Labs.

Where are the Server, Hazard, and Control Rooms in The Lab?

Once you are in the Labs, this is where the hard part comes around. Everyone who runs the Labs is geared to the brim, so you’ll need to focus on finishing the task first before fighting. These locations are also one of the hottest spots in the Labs. On the bright side, they are all close to each other, and you only need to step near them to finish the quest. You don’t even need to survive and extract from the location. If you die but are able to step on all four spots, you’ll still finish the task. Here are the locations of the server, hazard, and dome rooms in the Labs:

  • Main Working Area – The bright yellow dome near the arsenal on the first floor.
  • Servers – The server room is next to the Hangar and the main working area (it has two floors, and stepping on any will finish this part of the task).
  • Hangar – The hazard room is basically the tiny room in the Hangar, where it has the switch to open the Hangar Gate extraction point.

Each location is going to be hot, so if you spawn near it, you can rush to step on every single point and hope for the best. If you are far from it, there are multiple PMC spawns near this area, so it is best to wait it out a little.

Beneath the Streets Task Rewards in Escape from Tarkov

After completing the task, you’ll get the following:

  • 66,700 EXP
  • +0.03 Therapist reputation
  • 2x Ophthalmoscope
  • 1x Injector Case
  • 1x Medicine Case
  • 240,000 Roubles

The rewards are comparable to the endgame quest rewards, which is unheard of since you get this task early in the game. Finishing the tasks early can get you a useful Medicine Case and Injector Case to help you manage your stash better. The Roubles are also massive, which helps you get a loadout or two. The 66,700 EXP can catapult you to level 15 to unlock the Flea Market early in the game.

However, you only get one try when you reach the Labs because you have one Labs Access Keycard as the initial equipment from the Therapist. On another note, you need to make sure you don’t camp as much during the raid because you might lose some PMC Karma.
