How to Find the Mistveil Reservoir Chests in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Exact Locations

There are quite a few hidden caches scattered across the Grasslands. And while some are a walk in the park, like the Marshy Mire Cache near the Mythril Mines, others can easily stump you. And that can certainly be the case with the Mistveil Reservoir.

As you head up the steel stairs that emerge from the swamp’s waters, you’ll find yourself at Mistveil Reservoir. And it’s here that three are three hidden caches. The first cache isn’t difficult to find. Once you emerge from the stairs, it’s right in front of you, down the steel walkway beside the shack.

To find the second chest, head back towards the stairs you walked up, and you’ll see there’s a second circular recess. In this recess is a shack on stilts. Beneath the shack is the second chest.

The final chest is the hardest to find because it’s a little further away. You may have noticed that there’s a Lifespring owl in the area. Follow the Lifespring owl up the metal ladder onto the next platform.

Follow the path, but once the building ends, look left. There, you’ll find the final treasure chest.

Here are all the items you’ll find:

  • 1 Beastman Armband – An avant-garde armband made from the shavings of a beastman’s club. Increases physical and magical defense.
  • 1 Hi-Potion – Restores 700 HP.
  • 1 bottle of Ether – Restores 20 MP.

Be sure to knock open all those stamped crates for Moogle Medals. Once you’ve done that, be sure to follow the Lifespring Owl down to the Lifespring, as this is the only way to access it. Doing so unlocked the Pipeline Depository for me.
