How to Find the False Sovren in Dragon’s Dogma 2

He's living in the walls.

If you’re on the list of quests from Brant in Vernworth, you eventually need to crash a masquerade in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and find the false Sovren. Considering how easily he disappears, I put together this guide to help you find him right away.

The False Sovren can be found by opening a hidden door in the wall of the back hall when you enter the Masquerade. The first time you enter this anonymous party, there is an open space for dancing and a hall that circles around the entire room. I spent more than enough time speaking to every single NPC in the area and none of them are the Sovren I was looking for. That’s because he was sneaking away in that hidden door.

When you go into the hallway, head to the side where there are two rooms. Both of these rooms are essentially empty outside of a random chest here and there. Between these two rooms, however, is a hidden door built into the wall in the hallway. Simply walk up to the wall and walk through like you would with any door. The panel will open, and you will find a hidden room. I realized this existed after I saw some NPC dialogue coming from the hidden room, so it was hard to miss.

After going through the door, you will find the brothel that requires a membership. This time, there is no membership required because you will be sneaking in through the top floor. As you enter, a cutscene will begin where some guards are looking for you and a lady keeps you out of harm’s way. She also happens to show you where the false Sovren is so you can get the information you need and head back to Brant in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Those of you who arrive back to Brant before he’s there might want to pass the time.
