The Baxter Building can be found in top right corner of Hell’s Kitchen, and is located near Central Park. If you prefer more formal directions, the Baxter Building can be seen in farthest northeastern part of Hell’s Kitchen.

The Baxter Building has a very unique shape, making it stand out from the surrounding architecture. There is a sign near some hedges on the ground that says “BAXTER,” signifying you are in the right place. Also, a Spider-bot can be found on the building approximately midway up the tower.

The importance of the Baxter Building in Marvel media is that it is the home and base of operations of Mr. Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing, otherwise known as the Fantastic Four, Marvel’s first superhero team created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Unfortunately, the Fantastic Four do not appear in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. However, on the rooftop of the Baxter Building, you can find the blue Fantastic Four logo in the process of being painted, leading to speculation that the Fantastic Four may be a newer team in Insomniac’s Marvel universe. If this speculation is correct, it is somewhat of a departure from the Marvel Comics, which introduced the Fantastic Four prior to Spider-Man, and were established before his inception. The group even made a cameo in the first issue of the Amazing Spider-Man all the way back in 1963, and the Fantastic Four’s archvillain, Doctor Doom would also make a crossover appearance in the Amazing Spider-Man #5, further demonstrating the connection between Spider-Man and Marvel’s iconic super-quartet.

To recap, the Baxter building can be found in the top right corner of Hell’s Kitchen.
