Where to Find Ernesto in Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Exact Map Location

Ernesto is found at the Volcanic Island Camp in Dragon’s Dogma 2, southeast of Bakbattahl. Look for a Beastren wearing silver and red armor. During the day, I found him walking along the path slightly northeast of the Workers’ Dormitory. You can see Ernesto’s exact location in my map screenshot below:

However, it isn’t as simple as taking a road southeast—you’ll need to pass through Drabnir’s Grotto, which is filled with tough monsters. To find Drabnir’s Grotto, head west out of Bakbattahl and follow the road south. I’d recommend stocking up on health restoratives and Wakestones before venturing into the cave and having a team above level 30.

Once you’ve found Ernesto and given him the letter, you’ll then be asked to deliver the letter of request to Barbas in the Agamen Ruins. The Agamen Ruins are located southeast of the Volcanic Island Camp and can be reached by following the path headed east out of the Camp.

I Can’t Find Ernesto in Dragon’s Dogma 2 – Ernesto Not Appearing

If you can’t find Ernesto in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and you’ve searched the area around the Volcanic Island Camp, I’d advise finding an Inn or a bench and dozing off until the next day. I found Ernesto walking around during the day, and I’m unsure if he appears at night or not, so to be safe, stick to the daytime.

Now that you know how to find Ernesto, you may want to track down a Dragon’s Gaze in Dragon’s Dogma 2, as it is crucial in finding Wakestones, which you’ll likely need a few of to get through Drabnir’s Grotto.
