How to Find Buried Treasure in Minecraft Bedrock Edition

For starters, you need to find a Treasure Map. The Buried Treasure Map is a special item in the game that will show you the location where the Treasure Chest is buried, marked with an X. But to acquire it, you need to do a little diving! In the ocean biome, find a shipwreck or underwater ruins. The safest option is shipwrecks, which almost 100% always contain a Treasure Map in the Map Chest, while in underwater ruins there is approximately a 50:50 chance that you will find a map.

Once you’ve got a Treasure Map, select it like any item and you will be able to see your location on the map as well as a red X marking the location of the buried Treasure Chest. Use this map as you would any standard map in Minecraft to navigate to the location.

Just like that!

When you reach the X location on the map, you need to stand so that the player cursor on the map is in a pixel exactly above the red X, and facing north. All that’s left now is to start digging like crazy until you stumble upon a buried treasure chest – and hope it contains something worth the effort. Happy digging!
