How to Find and Catch Bass in Disney Dreamlight Valley

As you flounder and fish your way to a perfectly complete cookbook or try to complete tasks set before you, you may find that you need bass. And, fortunately, bass is pretty easy to find in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Bass can be found in the following locations in DDLV:

  • Peaceful Meadow
  • Forest of Valor
  • Sunlight Plateau
  • Frosted Heights

Which means that you can go pretty much anywhere and tumble across this striped fish. They have no unique ripple colors, either, because they’re pretty common fish.

To catch fish in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll need to approach Goofy and complete the Royal Tools quest. Once you receive the fishing rod, you can approach the nearby pond in the Peaceful Meadow near Goofy to start fishing.

To equip the rod, open up your tool selection and make it your active item. Then, look for bubbling circles in the water and face it. Hold the interaction button to cast your line. Eventually, you’ll get a prompt on your screen, which will allow you to reel in the fish.

If you manage to catch a bass and sell it, you’ll get 25 coins. Or you could eat it raw like it’s a giant piece of sashimi and recover 150 Energy.

I’ve found that bass are also very useful if you’re trying to complete tasks that require you to catch fish and also cook. Bass can be made into Pan-Seared Bass and Vegetables, which only require one bass and two vegetables, which can be quickly gathered.

This makes them a great option if you’re trying to knock out the Royal Winter Star Path Duties in Disney Dreamlight Valley, for example.
