During Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Sands in the Hourglass quest, you’ll have to use your newly acquired Royal Hourglass to find two ancient statue fragments before repairing it and locating other items. Here’s where to find the ancient fragments and plates in Disney Dreamlight Valley.
Ancient Statue Fragment Locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
During the Sands in the Hourglass quest, you’ll have to find two ancient statue fragments and three ancient plates to repair the bridge and venture forward into other Eternity Isle regions. Both ancient statue fragments are located on the Secluded Beach, while the plates are scattered around Ancient’s Landing.
How to Use the Royal Hourglass in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Before you search for the ancient statue fragments, you’ll have to familiarize yourself with the Royal Hourglass, as this tool is essential for picking up the pieces. Using the hourglass requires activating it to reveal a light above your head. It will appear in three colors: blue, yellow, and red. These colors represent your distance from the item, while the light’s arc indicates which direction you have to move to get closer to the hidden object.
Once you’re near an object and are ready to obtain it, a circle will appear, allowing you to button mash to expand it. Afterwards, the item will appear on the floor for you to pick up.
All Ancient Statue Fragment Locations in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Now that you’re familiar with the Royal Hourglass mechanics, it’s time to find some ancient statue fragments.
I found the first ancient statue fragment in the corner of the Secluded Beach area, just next to the Time-Bending table. Watch your hourglass arc as you approach this area, as it may appear red initially to signal that you’re close to the correct location. If this happens, take a step or two in the direction it’s facing to find the first fragment.
I also accidentally found a pink bow shortly after, which was a welcome surprise for Minnie when I gifted it to her.
The second ancient statue fragment was closer to the center of the area, just northeast of the broken statue. Like before, you’ll want to watch your hourglass arch, as even a few steps away will cause a red arc to appear instead of the gold circle.
Once you locate both fragments, you’ll immediately get another quest objective to find three ancient plates. You’ll have to venture around Ancient’s Landing to do this, but the process is the same outside of this.
Ancient Plates Locations in Dreamlight Valley
To locate these plates, players must acquire the Royal Hourglass tool by completing The Flying Metal Nuisance quest. If the arc turns blue, move in its direction for a few seconds before checking again. If it’s yellow, you know you’re getting close, and a red arc means you’re just a couple of footsteps away.
First Ancient Plate in Dreamlight Valley
In the Courtyard area of the Ancient’s Landing biome, players can find the first Ancient Plate. Utilizing the Royal Hourglass, search for the plate to the left of the Ancient Gate, opposite the Hologram Station. Players will see the “quickly” option when in close proximity to the plate.
Second Ancient Plate in Dreamlight Valley
For the second Ancient Plate, head up the stairs in The Docks region to reach the house area. Equip the Royal Hourglass and locate the plate near the Wishing Well, embedded in a bench right next to it.
Third Ancient Plate in Dreamlight Valley
The third Ancient Plate is also in The Docks region. Cross the bridge, find wooden crates next to EVE’s ship, and equip the Royal Tool to locate the plate.
