How to Expand Castle Size in V Rising

If you’re looking to grow that castle into a fully functioning home base, you’ll need to do a few things to make sure it’s ready. First off, you’ll need to gather a lot of stone, which can be obtained by smashing rocks in the surrounding area.

To expand your castle, each new plot will cost 20 Stone and 2 Blood Essence. You’ll need to feed on animals and other enemies to get Blood Essence. You can do this by fighting them, and when their health gets low enough the feed prompt will appear above them. Hit the F key to feed on them and gain varying amounts of depending on their level of health remaining when you feed.

Once you’ve got the required material, all you need to do is hit the B key to open up the build menu. Under the fundamentals or exterior tab, the “Border” option will be available. Simply place a border next to either the Castle Heart or any other already-placed one to continue expanding the size of your castle.

You may need to knock some trees or rocks down if they are in the way. This comes with expanding your territory. Make sure you have a nice cleared-out space when laying down borders so you don’t have to stop to clear out that pesky plant or rock blocking your path.
