How to Evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Did you know that you can evolve your Pokemon into a better version of themselves? Wouldn’t that make things easier, especially if you happen to have a Pokemon with some childish behavioral problems, such as Sneasel for example.
So you’re the proud parent of a Sneasel in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Or, well, about as proud as anyone can be when they’re dealing with those little psychopaths. We really just hated hanging out with them as they chased us around various landscapes in Galar, so it’s no surprise that we’d like to move our own Sneasels out of the terrible teens phase as soon as possible. Enter, our guide on how to evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Step By Step Guide
So, you have a Sneasel and you want to turn it into a Weavile. We don’t blame you – we’re actually rather traumatized by the fact that there are so many Sneasels just kicking around and chasing you around like the maniacs that they are. Out of all the Pokemon that love to just hunt you down when they see you, Sneasels are probably some of the most persistent. Now, to evolve them, it’s a pretty foolproof process though you’re going to need more than just the ability to level up. Oh, yeah.
To evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Sword and Shield, you have to get an item called a Razor Claw. In order to do this, you have to go to the Dusty Bowl and to make sure that your Rotom bike has already been upgraded to traverse water. This won’t be until about three-quarters of the way through the game, so if you’re not quite there yet, we’re sorry but you’re going to have to hang on to your Sneasel for a bit longer. If you are someone who’s got the Rotom bike souped up and ready to surf, though, then it’ll be pretty easy for you to get this Razor Claw.
You’re going to want to go to the Dusty Bowl and to loop around until you hit the lake that sits right behind it. There will be a Poke Ball there with a Razor Claw just sitting pretty for you to pick up. Yeah, it really is that easy. However, if you don’t think that the Razor Claw is obtainable for you that way, or you want more than one because, well, we don’t know. Maybe you just love giving Razor Claws to Sneasels or something, we won’t judge. Once you’ve cleared the game, you’ll be able to kick back and enjoy the Battle Tower i.e. kicking the absolute crap out of other Trainers. If you do well in that, you’re going to be able to pick up what’s called Battle Points, and you can then buy a Razor Claw for 10 Battle Points. You can also use Battle Points to pick Bottle Caps up for things like Hyper Training (which we have a guide for right here), so spend them as you wish.
To evolve your Sneasel into Weavile, all you have to do is make sure that it’s holding said Razor Claw item when it levels up at nighttime.
