In The Indigo Disk, Magby evolves into Magmar once the Pokemon reaches level 30. Upon hitting this level, the Pokemon will evolve into Magmar instantly, allowing you to obtain Magmar’s Pokedex entry and boosted stats. If your Magby is already beyond this level, increase it by one to initiate the evolution.

How to Evolve Magmar into Magmortar in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Indigo Disk

Evolving Magmar into Magmortar requires purchasing Magmarizer, equipping it into your Magmar to hold the item, and then trading the Pokemon with another player. Once you do this, the Magmortar evolution will activate, giving them the Pokedex entry for Magmortar.

Since the person who receives the Pokemon is the one who ultimately gets Magmortar, you have two ways to go about this. The first method is to trade with someone you trust, such as a family member or friend, who you know will return the Pokemon after the trade ends. Alternatively, you can trade with someone who also wants to swap a Magmar holding a Magmarizer, allowing you both to get Magmortar simultaneously.

How to Find Magmarizer in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: The Indigo Disk

You can buy Magmarizer from the Blueberry Academy League Club store for 250 BP. You can obtain BP by completing Blueberry quests, also known as BBQs, solo or in a group through the Union Circle. You’ll unlock these quests after finishing your first Terarium class.
